The Marine Life Around Long Island

January 20 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Coastal Research and Education Society of Long Island

Long Island is home to marine mammals for 12 months a year. Become better acquainted with the marine mammals that live in local waters and beyond. Find out where they can be seen and how to observe and photograph in the wild without disturbing them. Understand the threats they’ve overcome, as well as the ones that are still critically in need of solutions. Dr. Arthur Kopelman and the Coastal Research and Education Society of Long Island (CRESLI) has 34 years of experience in the field, and with his guidance you too can become a more aware, better-informed citizen scientist

This virtual course meets every Thursday, 4-5 p.m. for eight classes beginning January 20, 2022.

Email smccollum@fi.k12.ny.us for registration information.
