Theatre, History and the Lighthouses of Long Island

Back by popular demand, historic performance artist Joseph Smith, returns as Augustin Fresnel, inventor of the Fresnel lens that transformed "lighthouse technology forever, illuminating the seas, saving lives and creating new light in new venues yet to come," as well as portraying other characters of Long Island’s local history. This year Smith has expended his lecture series to include Shinnecock Lighthouse as well as Horton Point and Montauk, and of course our own Fire Island Lighthouse.
