By Shoshanna McCollumU.S. Coast Guard Station Fire Island was to the rescue on 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, July 19 as a privately chartered two-man helicopter in which World Wrestling Entertainment personality Shane McMahon was on board, along with his pilot, Mario Regtien. The malfunctioning R-44 craft made an emergency landing in the Atlantic Ocean, after departing from Westchester County. There were no injuries reported at the scene. McMahon, age 47, is best known for his work in the WWE program “SmackDown LIVE”. He was traveling to visit family in Eastern Long Island, and thanked both the USCG and lifeguards at the scene for all their efforts. The FAA is presently investigating the crash.Posted on
