Rose’s View – Cherry GroveBy Bob LevineOn Saturday evening, Aug.15, Hollywood superstar Debbie Reynolds, “The Unsinkable Molly Brown,” performed in the Grove at the Community House. She arrived on the dock in a private ferry, along with her personal assistant, Donald Light, and her pianist of 30 years, Joey Singer.Somehow the downtown area was filled with people waiting and lined up to give her a royal welcome. Bobbie Green drove Reynolds through the walks on our celebrity vehicle. She is one of the biggest celebrities to ever step into Cherry Grove, or appear on our Community Theatre stage.
